Theres a lot to say about this palette Windsor&Newton Cotman Studio Watercolor 45 Half Pan Set.
I used this brand since school time, then when I was studying Graphic Design in courses of Illustration, the watercolours are available in a lot of sets 12, 24 half pans, whole pans, tubes, travel kits, etc.
Why I bought this 45 set??? Because you have all the full range of Cotman Watercolors for good price.
They are "lightfast" is actually very important feature in my opinion because never fade in exposure to natural light. NEVERRRR!!! If you frame your original paints will never loose the intensity of color.
- The pigments are beautiful transparent and strong very good quality.
- This set contains 45 half pans, 40 are the whole range of colors of W&N and they give you 5 more of the most popular colors of the range.
- The packaging is hard plastic with detachable lid. A lot of mess is Ok.
- If you finish one color you can refiled with a tube or just buy the same half pan.
- Are for students and artist both love it! I think is a good starter kit.
- You can achieve beautiful effects and transparency.
- Some colors dry and crack inside the pan but a bit of water is ok.
I been used other brands too! But this a repurchased this palette few times, for be honest I can't compare with other brands because every brand use different pigments and are more cheaper or expensive.

Hay mucho que decir de esta paleta de Acuarelas Windsor&Newton Cotman Studio Watercolor 45 Half Pan Set.
Uso estas acuarelas desde colegio, después cursando Diseño Grafico los cursos de Ilustración. Las acuarelas están disponibles en sets de 12, 24 media paletilla o enteras, vienen en tubos, kits de viajero, etc.
Porque compra la paleta de 45 colores? Porque ofrecen la gama completa de colores de Cotman W&N a buen precio.
Son "lightfast" quiero decir "resistentes a la luz" muy importante en mi opinion porque nunca se desvanece el color con exposición a la luz. NUNCA!!! Si expones tus pinturas originales en pared no pierden intensidad de color.
- Los pigmentos son transparentes e intensos muy buena calidad.
- El set contiene 45 medias paletillas toda la gama de Cotman y adicional 5 de los colores mas populares.
- La paleta es de plástico y tiene un extensión q se puede sacar y limpiar.
- Si se te acaba un color lo puedes rellanar con los tubos o comprar la misma paletilla.
- Son para estudiantes como artistas profesionales, muy bueno para un kit de principiante.
- Obtienes buen intensidad de color y transparencia.
- Algunas colores se secan y cuartean en las paletillas pero nada que un poco de agua no solucione.
He usado otras marcas también! Pero he comprado esta marca muchas veces en diferentes formatos tubos y paletas, para ser honesta no las puedo comparar con otras marcas porque creo que toda marca tiene algo especial pigmentos, calidad, precios!
